Forking repositories is useful for exploring, modifying or building upon existing projects.

Follow these steps to fork a repository on Protocol.Land:

Note: You can only fork repositories with visibility set to “Public”.

  1. Navigate to the main page of the repository you wish to fork.

  2. On the top-right corner of the page, click “Fork”.

  3. A modal will appear requesting details for your forked copy.

  4. Type a name for your forked repository and an optional description.

  5. Click “Create”.

  6. Once the process is complete, you are redirected to the main repository page of your forked copy. Alongside the general details of this repository, you can see the “Forked tag” and the id of the repository it was forked from.
